Digital signage is a new form of information display by digital means. It is a specialized form in which text, digital images, video or multimedia content is displayed in public places for informational or advertising purposes, to replace the traditional printing billboards.
A digital signage usually consists of high-definition LCD screens or digital standing kiosks with a content management software application that runs on powerful digital media players capable of managing video graphics, web feeds, images and text remotely.
Digital signage is widely deployed in almost all market segments; namely retail, entertainment, transportation, hospitality, corporate offices, healthcare, banking and education.
